Dizziness, vertigo and unsteadiness are common reasons to seek help from a health professional.

There are a number of causes however, a problem in the inner ear (vestibular system) or in the areas in the brain that are important for maintaining balance is frequently the underlying cause.

The impact of a vestibular problem can range from an annoying complaint for some individuals, to an extremely debilitating condition significantly impacting work, relationships and daily life for others.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based physiotherapy program.

If your symptoms are triggered or made worse by movement then you can benefit from a vestibular rehabilitation program. The specialised vestibular exercises have been shown to reduce dizziness, vertigo and unsteadiness and subsequently improve quality of life for those impacted by a vestibular problem.

Vestibular problems affect everyone differently and the vestibular exercises are customised to meet individual needs.
